The lighting is very dull and dark which accurately represent the tiredness of the main character at the start of the short film. He uses the black hole to open the door and once he’s in he sticks the black hole onto the safe and starts getting out money from the safe, once again the greed overtakes him and he climbs into the safe to get more money however the black hole falls off the safe and he is stuck in there. Greed then gets the better of him as he tries to break into a room which says ‘keep out’.
After putting his hand into it a few times he tries using it on the vending machine and gets a chocolate bar. He disregards it and puts it to one side, it’s only when his cup disappears through the black hole that he realises something isn’t quite right. He is photocopying some sheets when an a3 sheet of paper with a big black circle is printed out. The black hole begins with an office worker who is tired and bored of his job, he’s working late and isn’t enjoying himself. Black Hole is a drama/horror/thriller with only one character, no words are used only sounds.
I think the main theme throughout the Black Hole is greed and how it can take over people in certain situations.
